Julia Klein is excited to be joining the Great Falls Symphony as principal clarinet and the Missoula Symphony as second clarinet.
Previously, Julia was based in Dallas-Fort Worth, where she earned her masters degree at the University of North Texas, studying with Phillip Paglialonga. While in Texas, Julia performed with several orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony.
A passionate teacher, Julia maintained a large private studio in Texas and has spent summers working with students at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan and the Sitka Fine Arts Camp in Alaska.
Julia earned bachelor's degrees in clarinet performance and Latin American Studies from Oberlin College and Conservatory, where she studied with Richard Hawkins.
When she is not playing clarinet, Julia enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking walks.
